Here We Go

This blog will document the progress on the KCC New Church site on West Kalkaska Road in Kalkaska Michigan.

Wednesday morning, October 24, the sunrise brought us beautiful rainbows across a very gray western sky – so beautiful!!  We took the opportunity to include the color in a couple shot of the property!  Enjoy!!

Just to the west of the destruction left by the tornado, we have a vision of autumn splendor!!

Electricity installation was completed on January 7, 2011, so elevator installation was able to go forward on Monday, January 10.

December 22, 2010 we closed on the sale of our present building. New owners: Kalkaska Funeral and Cremation Services;

11/18/2009 and no snow in Kalkaska yet! Work has continued, altho slowly. We have applied for a grant that would help us work on the interior of the building through the winter and we are anxiously awaiting the outcome of the application.

Last week the big equipment came in and began “moving dirt” – moving dirt from the back parking areas to the the front much higher areas.
