November 5 – Siding is going up!
WOW – doesn’t that look GREAT!!!
An evening of fun, prayer and fellowship was held on Sunday evening, Oct. 12. The whole church familyl was invited to tour the new construction site, write thoughts, scriptures, and prayers on the unfinished walls, floors and studs, and have questions answered. Then we all met at the bonfire for a time of singing. We then formed a large prayer circle and Dean Farrier closed out our time together with prayer. Many wonderful comments came out of the evening, included one gal who emailed: “I must tell you, walking in to the basement of the church tonight…I was almost in tears. God has blessed this congregation so abundantly and you could truly feel His presence in that building. It was almost overwhelming. I fought off the tears all night – good tears. I feel so lucky to be a part of this church body, I can’t even tell ya.”
Well, here is Kalkaska we had frost this morning! But the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day to take a few updated photos of the progress at the construction site.
The side view – windows are installed on the main floor.
The lower level inside – lots of space!
There’s a bit of fill yet to be moved to create the drop off area under the “porch”. Plans are to have the shell completed by mid November and then work will cease until spring.
As always, the prayer bench is under the tree – feel free to go there anytime and pray for the future of the church in Kalkaska and pray for the construction, as well.
We’re building a church and building a building!!
